About

Klezundheit was organized in 2014 and plays traditional and modern klezmer, Balkan, Israeli, Jewish, Roma, and jazz music.

Comprised of several conservatory-trained music educators, as well as doctors, lawyers, and mortgage brokers, Klezundheit brings energy and excitement to every performance.

Our repertoire includes traditional Klezmer music (songs like Kolomeike, Serba din New York, Romania-Romania, etc.); Israeli dance music (Hava Nagila, Zemer Atik, etc.); Roma music (Opa Cupa, etc.), modern Balkan (Technocheck Collision, Dung Gate, etc.), and Jazz (Bei Mir Bist Du Shayn, Lecha Dodi, etc.).

Part of what makes Klezundheit so exciting is our extensive instrumentation (flute, violin, trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, trombone, harmonica, bass, tuba,  piano, and percussion). We also provide dance instruction for a few basic dances.
